How a mosquito catcher works
Most modern mosquito catchers use 3 main steps:
1. Attraction (bring mosquitoes in)
- The device uses UV light (blue light) to attract mosquitoes
- Mosquitoes are naturally drawn to this light wavelength
- Some advanced traps also use:
- Heat (like human body)
- CO₂ (carbon dioxide)
